In the 9th week, your baby is just the size of a green olive. The fetus roughly measures 0.9 inches and weighs around .07 ounces. Though you won’t be able to tell the gender by ultrasound but the genitals have started to form.

Till 8 week, you looked pretty much the same. But in your 9th week of pregnancy, you will possibly gain some weight and your skinny jeans will no longer fit you.   • Morning sickness: In week 9, it is normal to feel queasy. But soon your first trimester will end, this symptom will decrease in sometime.
  • Sore breasts: Sometimes you may feel that your breasts will simply burst. In the week 9, hormones are enhancing your breasts and making them swollen, nipples getting pickier.
  • Tiredness: You may get tired very soon in this week. As your baby is developing every minute, your body is literally doing a lot of efforts.
  • Digestive issues: Progesterone may slow down your digestion and cause bloating, gas and constipation. Some women may also experience heartburn.
  • Frequent urination: Because of hormonal changes and higher pressure on bladder, you may feel frequent urge to run to the bathroom.
  • Headache: Because of hormonal change side effects, you may experience frequent headaches.
  • Nasal congestion: Rise in hormones leads to increase in mucus production and cause stuffy or runny nose.

Pregnancy Ultrasound Week 9

If you didn’t have any risks involved, then possibly you are now prepping for your first ultrasound. The ultrasound is done transvaginal to ensure your uterine pregnancy. The baby is just the size of an olive and you can listen to the heartbeat clearly.

Pregnancy Lifestyle Week 9

Though you may experience some discomfort, here are some lifestyle changes which can make you feel better:

  • Always keep a snack near you and keep munching. Avoid long gaps in your meals.
  • Maintain a good exercise routine -jogging, yoga or swimming whatever suits you.
  • Wear comfy clothes: Some of your clothes must have gone tight by now. So, if you feel uncomfortable then wear loose fabrics.
  • Keep yourself hydrated.
  • Rest as and when you feel the need.
